Man Caught on Camera Taking Package from Porch

NANTICOKE — Police are trying to identify a  man accused of stealing a package in Luzerne County. Surveillance video shows the man on the front porch of a house on West Church Street in Nanticoke. He looks around, sorts through the mail and swipes the package from the porch. It happened on April 7, around 3:45 p.m. If you have any information, contact the police in Nanticoke at 570-735-2200.

SCRANTON — A former school superintendent was sentenced Thursday morning for stealing thousands of dollars from a district in Lackawanna County. At the sentencing hearing, both Tallarico’s attorney and prosecutors asked for Tallarico to be sentenced to house arrest for the theft that happened while Tallarico was superintendent of Mid Valley School District in 2014 and 2015. DICKSON CITY – Police are investigating yet another theft from a Victoria’s Secret store in our area. Officers said two women stole from the store at the Viewmont Mall in Dickson City on Sunday. Waitress Accused of Stealing Thousands from Taco Queen

SUBURY — A waitress is accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from a restaurant in Northumberland County. Police say Nikkole Cellitti, 26, of Selinsgrove, was charged late last month with taking more than $43,000 from Abrana Marie’s Taco Queen restaurant in Sunbury. The thefts happened from April of 2013 until June of 2015 while she was a waitress there. Cellitti told police she took the money from the restaurant to pay her bills.

WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP — Police are looking for two women who they say ripped off Macy’s at the Wyoming Valley Mall in Luzerne County. Investigators said the women went to a register Monday afternoon and applied a credit of more than $17,000 to a debit card. Security tried to stop them, but police said they got away in a Chrysler 300. Police said they have the license plate number on the car.

Jeannie Brooks, 40, of Prompton is accused of taking nearly $24,000 from Aldenville Log and Lumber in Clinton Township near Honesdale. Man Pleads Guilty To Stealing Pizza After Claiming He Is God

SHIPPENSBURG — A man from Scranton pleaded guilty to stealing a pizza from a Weis Market near Shippensburg University. According to police, Adam Farrell told the clerk he didn’t have to pay for the pizza because he is God. When officers arrived, they found Farrell at a picnic table eating the pizza. Police arrested him, checked his fingerprints, and found out he was not who he said he was. Farrell pleaded guilty to stealing the pizza and was fined.

Former Owner of Wyoming Homes Sentenced to 9 Months

WILKES-BARRE — The former owner of a modular home company in Luzerne County was sentenced to serve at least nine months in jail after admitting he ripped off customers. David Valenti once owned Wyoming Homes near Wilkes-Barre. He admitted ripping off customers in nearly two dozen cases by either not delivering modular homes or giving them homes worth less than what they paid. Valenti was also ordered to pay $243,000 in restitution.
