MAHONING TOWNSHIP — Police are searching for two people accused of stealing more than $700 in disposable men’s razors last month from a Wal-Mart in Carbon County. Police: $1,000 in Glasses Stolen from LensCrafters in Wyoming Valley Mall
WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP — Police are looking for the two people they say stole eyeglasses from a store inside the Wyoming Valley Mall. Police released surveillance video from LensCrafters at the mall near Wilkes-Barre. Investigators said the video shows a male and a female who they believe stole approximately $1,000 in eyeglass frames and sunglasses on two separate occasions. Woman Accused of Stealing from Home in Hazleton, Selling Items for Heroin
HAZLETON — Police in Hazleton arrested a woman for stealing from a home. Officers say Shirley Hill broke into a home along West Magnolia Street on Saturday afternoon and stole several hundred dollars worth of items. Hill was taken into custody Monday night in Hazleton. Investigators said she admitted selling the stolen items for heroin. Hill was charged with burglary, theft, and other charges.

WEST HAZLETON — A landlord has been arrested in Luzerne County for allegedly taking rent and a security deposit for an apartment that was condemned almost two years ago. Police Looking to Identify Suspected Razor Thief
TAYLOR — Police in Lackawanna County are looking for help identifying a suspected thief. Officers in Taylor say a man grabbed nearly $300 worth of Gillette Fusion razors from Price Chopper on Monday. Police released surveillance video of the man showing him stuffing the razors in his pants. Authorities believe he also stole razors from a Price Chopper in Dunmore Tuesday morning.

Laptops Intended for Students in East Stroudsburg School District Stolen
LEHMAN TOWNSHIP — Some laptops headed to a school in Pike County were stolen. State police say the computers were being delivered to Lehman Intermediate School near Bushkill last month when four went missing from a tractor trailer. Troopers said the stolen laptops were worth $1,427. According to investigators, a man was later found trying to sell one to a pawn shop in East Stroudsburg. State police have not released that man’s name.

TAMAQUA — A business man in Schuylkill County was convicted of bilking an elderly couple out of more than $300-thousand dollars last year. Officials say Alfonso Picone of Tamaqua met the couple at his family’s restaurant, La Colce Casa, in Tamaqua and offered to help them with their finances. They say Picone then used the couple’s bank account to write checks to himself. Officials started investigating after Schuylkill County Senior Services noticed something wrong with the elderly couple’s finances.

Steven Malstrom was charged yesterday with theft West Pittston police say Malstrom took large amounts of money from people, promising monetary gain but never returned their original investment. Employee Accused of Stealing Thousands of Dollars from Gas Station
HONESDALE — A man is locked up, accused of swiping thousands from the gas station where he worked in Honesdale. Police say Joseph Flora, 23, of Honesdale stole more than $8,000 from Uptown Shell Station on North Main Street by making fake returns. The alleged thefts took place between April and June of this year. Flora is locked up in the Wayne County jail on $25,000 bail.
